MODEL 01

the cube

The cube is a neat ancillary dwelling which gives any property a quick solution to an office, studio or sleepout. These compact and smart looking pods require no building consent.

MODEL 02

the slab

The slab is typically a standalone minor dwelling with up to three bedrooms, one bathroom, kitchen and living options that can expand onto decking. Designed to be used as a detached sleepout, bach, Airbnb rental accommodation or tiny home. The slab requires no building consent when under 30m2 unless a bathroom or kitchen is added.

PROCESS

our design & full turnkey build process

The idea behind Podular is to design and utilise a building system that decreases the timeframe of an on-site build, while still allowing you to have full control of design and specification. Configuration of both internal and external layout means Podular compliments your site and views with style.

01: Desktop Estimation

This is completed on the website and gives a high-level project pricing. Please call our sales team at any stage to discuss this further.

02: Confirmation

Once you have completed your Pod, our configurator will send through a request for our sales team to check and provide feedback. We will then contact you to finalize the estimation and discuss any further details.

Timeframe: 1–5 days

03: Feasibility

A feasibility study is completed in-house by one of our Architectural Designers. This covers all aspects of the project from town planning, civil works, resource consents, logistics and if the project can be done. This costs $575 incl. GST and is refunded if you proceed with us.

Timeframe: 5–10 days

04: Project Confirmation & Final Pricing

We discuss the merits of your feasibility study and provide a fixed price for the project. This may be conditional on a few items which are later confirmed.

Timeframe: 1-3 days

05: Design & Specification

One of our in-house Architectural Designers manage the design and specification process of your pod, creating site & floor plans for your review.

Timeframe: 20–30 days

06: Consenting

Prefab and or Relocation Consents are lodged with respective councils.

Timeframe 30 days.

Your first progress payment is due.

07: Construction

Your Pod begins to take shape in one of our 3 factories. This generally starts within 7 – 10 days after consent is submitted. For onsite builds, these are started when consents are issued.

Timeframe: Depends on complexity. Approx 50 days.

Second & third progress payments due

08: Delivery & Connection

Once completed your Pod begins its journey to site by truck and is lifted in to place. Once fixed to its foundations we then connect your Pod to the applicable services.

Timeframe: 2–5 days.

Your fourth progress payment is due

09: Code of Compliance Certificate

Once completed the Pod will finally be issued with its code of compliance certificate. Time to enjoy your new Podular home.

Timeframe: 5–20 days depending on the respective council.

Your final progress payment is due.
